From the Summit
Sorry for the delay in getting information out about what we have been up to out here.
We have been running around exploring the summit having a grand old time that before we know it, it is time to get some shut eye.
So here is a run down of the past few days.
Monday we arrived at the check in location around two o'clock and made it to our camp site by three thirty, and started setting up the camp. Honestly that was way faster than we thought it would be. Other than it being the hottest day since we started this grand adventure it was a good day.
Tuesday was the kick off of the jamboree and we started the day off with a show in the arena. After that we sent the boys out to explore the jamboree. The funny part of that was the boys have grown so accustomed to being with and follow the leaders they hesitated to take off by themselves (in buddies) when we told them to go have fun. The day ended with all of the boys making it back to camp at the designated time safe and sound.
Wednesday we participated in the day of service. Getting there was a grand adventure it self never a good sign when you are given barf bags for the trip. The directions given to the bus driver were either incomplete or incorrect because it took us an hour and two U turns to get to our destination that was only 20 minutes away. When we finally arrived at our drop off site we found out that we would be cutting a new hiking and biking trail. The boys worked hard and did a great job.
